Application/Admissions Queries

Should original documents be scanned and uploaded for online form ?

Yes. Original documents should not be sent by post. However, verification of original certificates before the completion of the program is compulsory at AMU Office.

What are the documents required for meeting eligibility criterion ?

Academic Qualification: Attested/notarized photocopies of the last qualifying exam and statement of marks (degree certificate/mark sheet), ANy Govt. provided ID Proof.

 

Are there any deadlines for application ?

The deadline for submission of applications will appear on the Notice Board. Please check the Admissions section for more information.

How many photographs and photocopies of the documents should be submitted to University ?

For Offline admission you have to submit 2 sets of the documents and minimum 7 passport size photographs along with the Admission form. For Online Admission you have to upload the scan copies of documents and photograph. 

Which document will be the basis for the name of the candidate?

Candidate’s name as printed in High School Marksheet . In case of unavailability of High School Marksheet , Date of Birth Certificate issued by Revenue Officials, / Passport Copy / Notarized Date of Birth Certificate.

Can I change my name after taking admissions ?

You can request for change of your name at the Centre for Distance Education, AMU, Aligarh in case of spelling mistakes. You have to submit an application regarding name correction along with the Original Marksheet in which you want to correct your name along with the Xerox of High School marksheet or Original Notary Affidavit issued from court in case of name correction after marriage.

What is the procedure if one needs to change the program ?

A Student once enrolled is not eligible for requesting Change of Program.

When can I enroll for the progamme in CDE ?

The admission dates is decided by the UGC, the final dates get notified on the official site of CDE.

What are the module included in CDE ?

PCP (Personal Contact Programme), MOOCs, Printed study materials, online study materials such as lectures and notes.

Are CDE Degrees/Certificates recognized ?

Yes, Aligarh Muslim University is a Central University established by the Act of Parliament in the year 1920. It is accredited ‘A’ grade by NAAC in ‘A’ and Centre for Distance Education is its part therefore all the certificates/degrees/diplomas issued by CDE are recognized.All courses of CDE are recognized by DEB, UGC.

Can candidates apply Online for Admission ?

Cancellation and Reimbursement Policy

Can we get the fees refund in case of withdrawal from the program ?

Yes,

  • 100% fees will be refunded if Student gives application and cancel his/her admission within One month from the date of his/her admission.

What is the cancellation policy of the University ?

100% fees will be refunded if student gives application and cancel his/her admission within One month from the date of his/her admission. After One month no fees will be refunded to the student only admission cancellation from the said course is possible.
